Calypso is a classically styled aluminum hulled yacht with mahogany cabin sides and teak decks and was
custom built by Stephens Yacht in 1973 for Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wrather of Hollywood CA. She was originally
christened as “The Lone Ranger” in recognition of the radio/ TV show created by Mr. Wrather.
Calypso is great for excursions with cocktail and buffet style food and beverage service. On the main deck,
guests enjoy adjoining main and cocktail booth dining salons, tastefully decorated in a Hemingway motif. A
gorgeous Corain, teak and stainless galley are forward of the salons with doors opening to both the port and
starboard side decks. A varnished mahogany and teak after deck, with a full service wet bar and combination
cocktail/dining table is aft of the main salons with access via double French doors.
The summer cruising areas include the Long Island Sound and New York Harbor/Hudson River.
The yacht is most comfortable between 15-25 guests.
